Indie Coffee Shop Hoppin' - Ella's Uncle

Ella's Uncle

916 Dundas Street West

What an adorable little place! I stumbled upon Ella's Uncle while looking for The Communal Mule. I took a wrong turn, and instead went in the direction of another coffee shop on my list! Ella's Uncle is a "order and go" place, but it has a bit of seating by a window and a wall. Not only was their latte tasty, but I loved that they baked their own sweets and treats. They have a little kitchen behind the counter, and you could see one of the girls working away on some lovely baked goods. I love that they make things as they go. The blueberry scone I had wasn't that sweet, but that's what I liked about it. Less sugar the better! The baritas seemed to know many of the people walking in and everyone seemed really friendly and talkative. This is always a good sign. It's simple, cute, hip, and smells great when they are baking. Perfect :) I highly recommend Ella's Uncle whenever you're on Dundas in the Little Italy area :)
